If you follow my blog, you are no doubt aware of my profound love for Italy. From the culture, beauty, and cuisine, to the people, Italy is a place I treasure. My love of Italian travel is shared with my love for Paris travel. The Parisians have their own unique and magnificent way of incorporating all the fresh and wonderful ingredients that make this place a magical city. Of all the wonders this city offers, it’s the food and wine, and outstanding cuisine that truly makes Paris unforgettable. This is brought to life in my upcoming culinary adventures in Paris.
During my upcoming Parisian culinary week this coming September, I will have the pleasure of introducing my guests to one of the most cherished spots in the world where even the most seasoned foodie will discover that the French set the bar very high when it comes to their food and wine. My 2013 culinary adventures in Paris will start with a warm and inviting welcome to the Au Sourire de Montmarte Bed & Breakfast in Montmartre. Situated up on a hill, this enchanting and historical neighborhood offers spectacular views of the “city of lights” and is the perfect backdrop for our culinary adventure.
All of our hands-on cooking and baking classes will be held at the “Cook’n with Class” cooking school. Located in the beautiful neighborhood of Montmartre, it’s one of the most unique and top rated schools in the area and will offer my guests everything their hearts expect and desire.
The Montmartre area of Paris is known for its eclectic, artsy cafes, open-air markets and cozy bistros. Not only will we indulge in the many French delicacies that Paris offers, we will participate and learn the secrets and tricks of the trade. From French macaroons and delectable pastries, to French baguettes and croissants, together we will prepare delicious meals and classics dishes. As part of our culinary adventure, we will also enjoy walking food tours, wine tastings, and other culinary excursions near our hotel.
Each hands-on cooking experience will allow us to learn and embrace recipes that can be recreated at home and keep the memory alive long after our trip has ended.
But let’s not forget about the other splendors of Paris! In addition to the food and cuisine, we will experience Parisian culture and the beauty that Paris opens the heart to. Many of my guests discover that the photos they capture are as art. Whether we are visiting a bookstore, a florist, a produce market, or a bakery, the colors and imagery provide exceptional photos and opens the doors for new passions. A day trip to Monet’s Gardens and Versailles is planned as well and time to visit some of the beautiful museums in the city!
In 2013 I am offering two separate weeks in Paris filled with all of the splendor just mentioned above. My May excursion is sold out, but I have room left for the September tour.
