Enchanting India and our Magazine Debut

This past February we were once again happily back in India for an amazing tour – “The Colors of Rajasthan” experience. We visited the cities of Delhi, Jaipur and Agra and then ventured further south to Udaipur, the “city of lakes”, and the stunning Aravalli mountain range. There are never enough words to describe how incredible the trip was and how this country continues to amaze us, and our guests.
The trip happened to be extra special for a couple of reasons. We had the privilege of having Liz Schaffer, the editorial/creative director and a photographer from Lodestars Anthology join us. This tri-annual publication is a beautiful independent magazine-meets-journal, for curious travelers who long to be inspired. Each issue focuses on a single country and is sold internationally. They documented our journey through story and photography and the magazine has now been published! Liz captured the trip so beautifully and this issue is a stunner and a work of art. We are very exciting to be featured in a chapter titled “Delectable Destinations”!
The other reason the trip was extra special was due to some perfect timing. We had the good fortune to celebrate the festival of “Holi”in Delhi. Holi is a Hindu spring festival, also known as the “festival of color and love”, and marks the beginning of spring and also signifies triumph of good over evil. The tradition of throwing colored powder at people is believed to originate from a mythological love story. We spent the day with a local family at a famous cooking school in Delhi and I can vouch for all of us… best day ever!!
