Andalucia, Spain – For many reasons, one of our favorite destinations. A place of wonder, beauty, a world-class leader in cuisine and wines, magnificent monuments & moorish castles, deep-rooted history and of course, the warm and welcoming locals – the southern region of Spain is full of treasures and guarantees something for everyone.
Get “Spain” Ready! Start packing and celebrate the soul of Spain.
The White Towns of Andalucia – “Pueblos Blancos” – These dazzling and charming white villages are dotted across the impressive Andalucia mountainous landscape. There are many favorites but Comares and Ronda are just beyond beautiful.
Beautiful historical Granada is a perfect example of where Andalucia’s legacy begins. A visit to Alhambra – A UNESCO World Heritage site – and GeneralLife Gardens is a must visit. Walking through the hilly, cobbled-stoned, and narrow streets of Albayzine “the traditional Arabic quarters” in Granada is a great way to end your day, with delicious tapas and cava!
The private estate of Cortijo El Carligto lies in the Andalucia countryside. Nestled on a hilltop and at the junction of three mountain ranges, this scenic, secluded, and luxurious villa overlooks the Mediterranean and Moroccan coast. A heavenly place to call home for your Spain holiday.
The Markets! We can never get enough of our market visits, no matter which city, town or village we are visiting. No visit to Malaga is complete without some time spent at Atarazanas market or commonly known as “Mercado Central”. Our chef-guided visit makes it even more special. Besides all the beautiful, colorful, and fresh produce, this market is rich in history – dating back hundreds of years. The name Atarazanas is Arabic and means shipyard. In Moorish times, this site was a very important shipbuilding yard, with the sea at its doorstep.
Prepare to be dazzled, as we enjoy our own private Flamenco performance. A true seductive and passionate art-form based on the traditional song and dance of native gypsy musical style, and can be traced as far back as 700 A.D. Each dance has its own story – purely magical and mesmerizing to watch.
The best part… the cuisine and wine. Delight in the foods that reflect the hard work and pride of the Spanish people. The local produce is fresh and grown with care. The culinary traditions reflect the Andalucia landscape, each region celebrating with its own ingredients. A visual feast for your eyes and taste buds! From Michelin-Star rated and local chefs, cooking paella on our private terrace, “espetos” – grilled skewered sardines/seafood – on the beach, tapas, and vineyard visits for exceptional wine tastings, we got it all covered for you.
Yes, this is our corner of heaven… and we invite you on this culinary and cultural journey as we capture the true essence of Andalucia, Spain.
