A year ago at this time I was in the midst of some big plans for 2014. Starting in January I was going to be consistent with my blog posts, work on my new website and go hard in promoting my Spring and October culinary trips to Italy. As we know, life throws us a curve ball from time to time and in this case, it was a sheet of ice, a nasty fall, a broken wrist and surgery…and this was the first week of January. This was not how to start the year! Plans changed, Spring trips were cancelled and months of healing and physio were on the agenda.
Thankfully all went very well and I was back on track for our October trips! I had the pleasure of escorting 4 wonderful groups of people as we enjoyed culinary weeks on the Amalfi Coast, Puglia, and Tuscany. Tuscany was extra special as I connected with Food Sylist Catrine Kelty and Photographer Kristin Teig over a year ago and our FoodStyling/Photography and Culinary Trip in Tuscany was a great success.
After 4 weeks in Italy, I was off to Spain. A very gracious invitation by the owners of El Carligto Villa in the Andalucian mountains. I have one word…Heaven. Then I have a few more…Exciting, Stunning, Amazing, Wow. The food, the people, the views, the property and the area, is a must visit. After the first day there, I knew this would be a new addition to our list of destinations. This place is another jewel to offer my clients.
I will make this post short and sweet and leave you with a replay of some of favourite moments in 2014. More on all our experiences and new itineraries in 2015 coming soon!
